If you’re looking for a good dentist- this is the place! The staff is excellent as is Dr Van- take it from someone who spends a lot of time in a dental chair… this is the dentist ( and staff) you’ll be happy with.

We are new to the area and needed to find a dentist. From the initial phone call to make appointments to our visit today, we have only had positive experiences. The front office staff is so kind, the hygienists are caring and Dr. Tinsley is amazing! Our youngest son has special needs, he has never allowed a dentist to look at his teeth. Our son met Dr. Tinsley and immediately climbed into the chair. Dr. Tinsley took great care of him. Our son then allowed the hygienist to polish his teeth. A BIG thank you for such a positive experience. Our son even wanted his picture taken with Dr. Tinsley!! Thankful we found Columbus Family Dental.

Not that I'm partial to this fine Dental Practice but I think it's the best in Polk County. Dr. Van and Dr. Tinsley are wonderful Dentists. They care about their patients and their patients health. I also LOVE Rita, my hygienist! She is AWESOME! I know when I go and have my teeth cleaned it will be thorough and done correctly. By far, the best dental experience I’ve ever had! Excellent team and the hygienist was phenomenal! She was very patient to remove a significant amount of buildup that I had, never seemed rushed at all, and I left without having sore gums. The best cleaning I have ever had! Dr. Caleb Tinsley did an excellent job repairing a fracture In one of my molars. He repaired it immediately, and did not suggest making an additional office visit for the repair, like most dentist would do. Looking forward to my next trip, to Columbus family dental!

Great staff that treats you like family! I had a cleaning, a cavity filled, and a retainer repair all in the same appointment. They let me do them all at once because it's hard for me to get off work for several appointments. I was in and out in about 2 hours. Also, the receptionist was kind enough to come talk to me about prices and insurance while I was waiting in the dentist chair. I really enjoyed my visit.

Have had a lot of dental work through the years....lots of dentist surgery etc. Here they approached my anesthesia in steps, assured my pain was eliminated, via right dosage, and fitted crown perfectly. The assistants were amazing and knowledgeable. Ask for the woodpecker room and enjoy

It had been a while since I’d been to the dentist, so when I had some tooth sensitivity, I went to Columbus Family Dental at the recommendation of my mom. They were able to get me in quickly to access and resolve the issue. I followed up with a routine cleaning a few weeks later and was impressed by the kindness, knowledge, and transparency. My hygienist (Alexis, I believe?), was gentle, compassionate, and personable. Both Dr. Van and Dr. Tinsley have both been knowledgeable, making gold star recommendations without being pushy or judgmental and have taken time to ask questions in an attempt to get to know me as a person, which is just a really nice touch. The front desk staff have been friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this practice.

Dr Van is extremely conscientious and puts the "painless " (as much as possible) back in dentistry.

I have been a patient here for over 20 years. And when I walked in the other day I still felt like I was at home. I had the same exceptional care with the same expertise. Dr Van is a great addition to our community.

I arrived early and filled out some paperwork. Another xray was needed as I experienced a lot of pain the previous week and had finished a zpack a couple of days prior to my visit. Dr Van sent me on vacation with the zpack just in case and it was the right call. 3 possible treatment plans were thoroughly explained, and I chose the implant. Right away I was prepped for the extraction and it was taken out with no issues. Dr Van and his staff were concerned about my comfort and everything turned out fine. I don’t know how the charges compare to other dentists, but the care and expertise here are exceptional.

The staff is friendly and took their time to find out how my life was going. They are the bomb.

Love, love, love Dr. Shane Van and Dr. Tinsley both very intelligent doctors. This is a 100% judge free zone. These doctors and staff have shown to truly care about my oral health. I had two cleanings done here with Rita and Elaine both amazing and had no pain! Nicky, and Lindsey both amazing assistants made my dental anxiety ease up while having treatment done. Overall this is the best dental office in town!! Everyone walks out with a smile!

The best dentist I’ve ever been to! They were very patient and offered multiple treatments and options for me to choose. They didn’t pressure you to take or choose anything and explained procedures on how they work. They also explain why a tooth or something else might be feeling the way it is or why something may be hurting. They really are a great clinic to go to!

Everyone working there tries to make what some consider to be an unpleasant experience, instead, a comfortable experience. I’ve had my teeth cleaned, X-rays, a crown including a shot which I didn’t even feel! I definitely recommend!

I had the absolute best dental experience of my life, here last week. I'm 63 and a dental nightmare, born as a non-secretor with my genetic weirdness. The staff was wonderfully accommodating, patient, understanding, thorough, sanitary, fun. All around just the best I could have ever hoped to find being new and from Chicago in this area. I don't trust the insurance driven facilities, even though I don't have that coverage. I was not rushed out of the chair for almost an hour of consultation and service. Columbus family dental were very understanding and extremely reasonable with their pricing too. They solved my emergency faster than any other practice I called locally. I highly recommend their services to everyone. Blessings!

While the dentist office is rarely a place where people delight to go I have found Columbus Family Dental to be a wonderful exception for a variety of reasons including a warm, relaxing atmosphere, thorough cleaning gently and skillfully performed, reasonable pricing and a staff that loves their patients and loves to laugh. I learned things about personal hygine that I had not known and actually look forward to returning for my next cleaning! It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend this office with enthusiasm and confidence to anyone seeking dental care.
